Soil Test Kits

Cooperative Extension sells Soil Test Kits for $9.00 if you come to the Delaware County Cooperative Extension office in Smedley Park, Springfield, to pick it up. It is $9.75 if you send a check to the office and ask for the kit to be mailed to you.

After purchase, you place a sample of soil with a completed form (indicating the plantings - such as lawn, vegetables or flowers) and mail the package to Penn State for analysis. You will receive the results from Penn State in two to four weeks. You will be given the soil analysis as well as recommendations for amending the soil appropriate for the plantings.
