Who are we?

Delaware County Master Gardeners are your neighbors - ordinary gardeners - who are enthusiastic about America's #1 hobby, and who have dedicated themselves to sharing their passion and their knowledge with members of their own community.

The special horticulture 12 week training these volunteers receive from the Penn State Cooperative Extension allows them to understand horticulture, educate others, support and implement community initiatives such as demonstration gardens, seminars, clinics, and workshops for schools and community groups. They staff the Delaware County Extension Horticulture Hot Line. They are involved in horticulture therapy, teaching gardens and speakers bureau.

In the friendly tradition of Master Gardeners throughout the US, they welcome similarly interested and enthusiastic members of the community to join their ranks. For information, call 610-690-2655.
